I was coming to say while we'll shake our heads and be like "come on, man!!",
nobody from Texas or its neighboring states is gonna go shoot them up muchless place a bounty on the cartoonists.
The irony in that is they are making fun of one of the most prominent states in the fight FOR Freedom of Speech.

It just goes to show how far the leftists have taken this bogeyman.
The sad part is that the more people use conflation with Nazism as a device, the more it diminishes and normalizes the horrors of actual Nazism.
It also prevents a true understanding of what rising nationalism/populism in the West is derived from.

Exactly, not hard to see why...if you're a terrorist.
Exactly. I was not saying at all that this incites my desire to shoot the place up, as I understand satire and fully support the right of free speech.
Just saying the Aloha Snackbars aren't exactly known to be as level headed and rational as those that peruse the OT.. which is saying a lot.

Charlie Hebdo learned a valuable lesson, don't mock people who will actually shoot/kill you.
On all seriousness, Charlie Hebdo is like Mad Magazine, a device to push the boundaries of Freedom of Speech. I'm not going to champion their cause one minute, just to get mad they are mocking an American event the next minute.

I just find it interesting they think Texas is chock full of Neo Nazis, and that their misery is somehow beneficial to someone.
Despite changing demographics, Texas is considered a traditional red state, full of folks who love God and guns. If you're going for shock value, like Hebdo does, this was an easy play. Like I said earlier, it was actually pretty lazy.

That is what they do - outlandish stories on "off limits" topics

To act like Houston is full of neo-Nazis is a bizarre characterization.
Right? The large number of old-Nazis there deserve some recognition too.

This opinion probably isn't too far off from a lot of people in American media.

It's not muslim so there will be no white privilege backlash.

Mis characterization is what they do - y'all are trying to find validity in a cartoon that takes ridiculous topics to their absolute extreme.

I wonder if all these liberal idiots saying things like this realize that a lot of the people affected by this hurricane are poor minorities?

I literally just said it would be interesting. I'm not defending them in the slightest.
But per usual, you can't help but cling to my nuts.

Oh I fully support their right to publish this. It just seems kind of stupid. I don't think there was any big Nazi-rally, or any kind of rally, going on in Texas at the moment.
This is pretty much what I was getting at...

It's not interesting though. The two cartoons aren't really comparable outside of being published by the same people.
Also, get over yourself, I give plenty of people here shite for saying stupid things. You aren't special.

Why would that be "interesting"? They absolutely have the right to do this without getting murdered but it's in poor taste and should be publicly mocked and ridiculed.

They are certainly free to speak as they wish. Just as I would be possibly inclined to mock their dead the next time someone goes to the Aloha Snackbar in France.
To be clear, I wouldnt do that, but no doubt some people will. Stuff like this is not helpful for anyone.

Isn't this sort of their entire point though? Be offensive whenever possible?
This was a layup for them.

Just one more thing I really could care less about.
The world needs Houston and New Orleans more than they think.
