re: Charges filed against officer that shot Rayshard Brooks

Didn’t he shoot him in the back and the coroner ruled it a homicide? Police chief voluntarily stepped down to make way for change and she is quoted as saying so herself.

Not everyone but certainly those in cities where justified shooting like this are tried and officers lives are further ruined to bend to the mob mentality.

Unfortunately that is what it's going to take to but the genie back in the bottle. Then liberal elected officials are out of their minds. Proclaiming people guilty before any investigation can really even start much less conclude..

It's all China's fault

It’s a clown world. Everyone says “he was shot in the back” and when I ask if they watched the video.. “nah”.

Yikes. Folks the left will not be satisfied with only this. Expect more cops to be charged with murder for handcuffing a criminal.

He's in a runoff election, no way he was not going to bring charges.

I think the cop will walk.

But with the DA pursuing charges, what is the logic. Was the expectation that since Brooks stole the taser and was technically still running away, does that make him less of a threat. Maybe the officers were expected to pull back and allow Brooks to continue running, and to try a different approach in catching him.

From watching the full video, I don't get the idea that Brooks was trying to actually do harm to the officers, but rather haul arse away. And he fired the taser hoping to stall the officers giving him time to get away. I don't think he expected led to be returned back his way.

I think if Brooks fired the taser while still in direct combat with the officers, and was shot, that would be a 100% clear case of self-defense. But since he was actively running away, and still running while he fired taser, I guess that is the angle that the prosecution is going for.
