I have a green egg and prefer to use it for steaks, whole chicken or turkey. I prefer my gas grill for burgers etc - just because it’s faster

I've never used a slow n sear attachment but it looks like it would work on Google

Weber makes pretty good stuff. Good luck.

I have a charcoal PK grill. They are great. Maybe a bit overpriced if you dont use it all the time.

A man's grill is like a wife. It should be played with at least three days a week year round.

It really is a fantastic grill. Gets very hot to sear steaks(not quite as much as ceramic grill), also very easy and fast much like a Weber kettle for brats, burgers, dogs etc

Had my Weber genesis for a few seasons and contemplating adding a quality charcoal grill. Would be interested in hearing how much you use the charcoal if you have both
Have both. Grill for grilling. Charcoal for slow cooks, although I will slow cook thigh quarters on the Weber gas grill, and they are great.

LINK

A link with information about illegal charcoal trade...apparently it's like the narcotics trade but with charcoal. Who would have thought this is something that is illegally sold and traded.

Turn in your man card right now. We are talking about real bbq pits.
There’s no difference except an electrical grill is easier.

It’s all cooking over heat outside with your own hysterical magic high priest of the voodoo incantation recipes.

But with electric, you also bypass the carcinogens released by charcoal, wood or gas.

Electric grills and smokers just rock.

Does the masterbuilt gravity feed seem like it’s going to rust out in 3 years? Quality looks pretty cheap and it looks like it would get damaged quickly if uncovered outside.

I mean overall it feels solid but some parts just feel cheap. I feel like that in about 3 years I may have to replace it, but that may be bc previous Masterbuilt stuff I've had was total crap. This is built much better that that, but it's also no Weber. I enjoy grilling/smoking a lot so I don't mind if this craps out after a few years bc it cooks so damn good

do you have any experience with slow n sear attachment? i cannot tell if it is worth it, or the company is just paying people on youtube to say it is better than the baskets that come with the kettle

It's great, mine rarely comes off the grill. I've smoked multiple pork butts, short ribs, a ham, a turkey, etc with it and haven't had any complaints. I've also done a good bit of reverse searing using it. It's far superior to the grill baskets for setting up two zones for cooking - it holds more charcoal creating more fuel for high temp sears and offers a better barrier between the charcoal and the other side of your grill even without the water well.
