The board is still made up of mainly old time Monroe people so it should be safe for at least a while. After this crop is forced out, though, I wouldn't be surprised to see them move most operations
Until the late 80's or early 90's the Coca Cola annual board meeting was held in Monroe because of the Biedenharns. When the older Mr. B.W. Biedenharn was no longer able to attend those were moved to Atlanta.

Seems backwards. I'd put the employees in the area where you can easily recruit, which unfortunately isn't Monroe.
The CEO of Cane's are based in Baton Rouge with some of the executives, but the rest of the company is in Dallas. That makes slightly more sense to me. I guess it is technically a Baton Rouge-based company but 80% of their corporate employees are in Texas.

They still won't demolish the old Sonic building on Hwy 80 by the airport. CTL employees have to pass that on their way to the headquarters on 165.
Incorrect.
It was turned into a southern classic chicken.

CenturyLink is a pile of trash to work with, coming from an ISP employee who has to deal with them every couple of months. If they fall apart as a company, no skin off my nose. I've been hoping that level 3 would make them better

CenturyLink leaving will further beat down an already beaten city. All that will be left is what.. Chase?
When State Farm's mid south regional office and the GM Guide plant closed, it really did a number on Monroe. Then moving the Airport Lounge from the airport - that's starting to closing the casket!!

There are already more Fortune 500 companies in friggin Memphis than in the entire state of Louisiana. Hopefully Brown and Root starts growing through acquisition very soon.

Hes not the best but he's certainly not as incompetent as SWB or Mitch Landrieu.

I'm talking about the original Sonic building that is run down across the street from the now Southern Classic. This building sat dormant while the new Sonic building opened around 1999 and is still crumbling. I believe that is the corner of Banks and DeSiard. The building in question has been an eyesore on DeSiard for almost 20 years.

Same with Delta Airlines.

Wonder where are they thinking about relocating if they dont see Monroe as the best fit for the company? Would be a blow to Louisiana to lose one of its largest companies.

Taxes, taxes, and more taxes. Along with a better skilled workforce to run a corporate HQ.

Will he live across the border in TX?

Just like everyone else in Louisiana, Centurylink will probably move to TX.

Don't you EVER talk about Sonic like that again.

No, Colorado.
If I were him I would just live in River Oaks - Houston.

I've suffered from serious depression only once in my life...and it was when I was living in Monroe.
