re: Cecil the lion's killer revealed as American dentist

After the internet gets through with him, he won't have a dental practice or any way to make a living. I would say I hope he learns his lesson, but after reading about him from several sources, he really doesn't see anything wrong with what he's doing. He makes a habit of flaunting regulations and bragging about it. He probably seems himself as the victim in all this. At least he can't afford to go on any more illegal hunts.
RIP Cecil.
RIP Cecil.

We frick over people in this country for lawful stuff all the time. Assholes get shamed for lawful activity, this guy is probably an a-hole, just how it goes.

You're such a hardo. I doubt the guy paid to go on an illegal hunt. They had the permits to kill a lion with a bow. It's obvious the guide is who really fricked up.

I've been mad with posters on here, then IRL'd with them at Finn's and then spent time talking football and BS.
I get into it with people on here from time to time, but never let it leave the site.
I understand that this is mainly a soapbox for our inner personalities that we have to keep in check or else look foolish in our real lives.

From what I understood, it was the killing of a collared animal that was the issue.

I love stupid PETA type dummies that don't understand the good this hunt does. Props on being an uneducated PETA type though.
ETA: Elrry your OP had zero information and I skimmed one reply in the thread.
What good does it do? Sounds like you're relying second hand on some cookie cutter response you read in another thread and passing it off as your own hunter / conservation expertise

No. It was an illegal hunt.
Nobody knows that. The article doesn't state what was illegal about it. They say they had permits. I read it as that it was illegal to kill the wounded animal within the park and remove the collar without notifying the proper people first.

I'm an avid hunter and fisherman, but I have no sympathy for this POS. He has no understanding of conservation or fair chase. frick him.
ETA to your ETA: If I go on a guided trip in the marsh, and the guide tells me the limit is 25 specks when it's really 15, I'm still getting a ticket if the game warden shows up. It's on the sportsman to know the rules and follow them. If I'm with a guide who's encouraging me to do something unethical, that's when we head back to the dock/lodge for a talk with the owner.

Artie is just a sad sad man that can't handle some guy on a forum. I feel bad for him. I thought he might say something funny in the email, but nope. He's got actual issues.

if anybody wants a real in-depth interview about this, go search for the joe rogan podcast with the guy who killed the rhino
it's 3 hours of amazing. it goes into a lot more than just the "big game hunting/conservation" issue

Uh, sure. It's like when a guy dies of a heart attack and his family suffers.
You know, which is totally the same as when someone frickin gats him for no reason.

Looks like the piece of shite has a history of lying and bad kills.

I guess this seasoned hunter who has slain game across the globe will play dumb and just blame it on his guide.

It does no good, which is why I left my stupid first response up and don't deny i said it without really reading the article. But let's not act like there aren't people that do exactly what I was complaining about either.
You could also ask what good do any posts on this forum do.

I know you do yor homework. Not sure that can be said about other posters who I think just mindlessly regurgitate some pseudo-libertarian response about how The hunt will raise money for the locals and save animals without an iota of verification
