am posting what the CDC said today. I am just saying what you stated earlier is no longer the messaging your heroes at the CDC are putting out there

"the vast majority of transmission, the vast majority of severe disease, hospitalization, and death is almost exclusively happening among unvaccinated people."

Like I said, thus showing my statement to be 100% correct.

Care to post something else I said that was supposedly wrong since I" usually "do it or nah?

That's the point. No one does. Not even the CDC.

This board has turned into nonstop bitching and moaning about the coming Covid lockdowns and mandates.

Don’t hate the player. Hate the game.

Not worried. Diseases mutate towards more contagious but less deadly, i.e. more symbiotic. They need people to thrive.

Then they might have to treat it. Gasp!

Yea, that’s true.

You can hate the player for that one.

To actually get on topic, if it is going to mutate outside of the vaccine’s effectiveness, it will do that no matter what we do.

We can’t prevent or stop that.

Reaching 100% inoculation would likely have zero impact on that event.

That a stupid statement, these 2 drugs have not been proven to cure COVID, do your research instead of list to Fox News

Unless you're one of those people who just claim Ira bullshite that the vast majority of people dying and on ventilators are unvaccinated.

On July 16 Illinois reported their breakthrough cases to be 593 hospitalized with 159 deaths. All of those are/were vaccinated people. That was 11 days ago, so there are probably more now.

Neither side in this debate is doing itself any favors speaking in absolutes. It only serves to muddy the waters which are muddy enough already.

To be fair. It’s time for a purge.

"We are actively conducting outbreak investigations of what’s occurring in places that are having clusters... What we’ve learned in that context, is when we examine the rare breakthrough infections and we look at the amount of virus in those people, it’s pretty similar to the amount of virus in unvaccinated people," Walensky said.

The new data suggests that vaccinated people "may be contagious and spread the virus to others," Walensky said.

You said:

quote:

Yea, just not as likely to, so...

A breakthrough case carries the same viral load as someone unvaccinated according to what she said today. If you are a breakthrough case then your chances of passing it to others are the same as an unvaccinated person.

Now if you mean you are less likely to get the variant and spread it...well that narrative is proving to be less true every day too as we are seeing more and more cases. I do concede that the majority of cases as of now are said to be among the unvaccinated. I just think you will see that shift over time. Maybe not to be 50/50 but it won't be as lopsided as it is now.

He's just demoralized, which I think we all are somewhat.

I really don't think there will be any more lockdowns. And if there are, I really hope people ignore them.

From that same report

That figure equates to 2.2% of COVID-19 deaths in the state since Jan. 1, officials said.

unvaccinated people are absolutely contracting and dying of Covid at a much higher rate than vaccinated. These are just facts.

I didn't say it was a cure. It's a treatment and one that has not been allowed to be fully studied despite overwhelming evidence it was worth exploring. Do your research.

From the announcement today:

quote:

CDC Director Walensky says in the breakthrough infections the CDC has been tracking, the viral load in those individuals is similar to the viral load in infected individuals who are unvaccinated

Are you going to provide anything to back up your statements or just argue with everyone like usual?

Welp, there ya go.

And if/when that happens, you'll have a point. If you're conceding were not there, you're also conceding I was not wrong to begin with.
