Looks like they were more right than wrong.

And? Are we so arrogant of a country we can't learn from other countries and how they handle things?

Plenty of that coming from the experts you're putting on a pedestal.

And this is coming from an arrogant scientist himself.

Behind closed doors I would tell everyone we still need to keep things closed for a little while longer.

Based on what?

States ran by democrat governors then tell its people we need to keep things shut down a little bit longer while the people are seeing all the states with Republican governors opening shite back up. They are saying "wait. this dumbass we have as a governor is holding everyone back. These states ran by the republicans are opening back up.. We need to get rid of this jackass in office.

Honest question, have you ever spoken with someone that hates trump? Quite literally everything wrong with the word, let alone the US, is his fault. My FIL is a CNN disciple and he thinks people want to open things back up so that we can kill more black people. Swear to Christ he said that to me while sober and with a straight face.

Do you think anyone with that mindset will ever question why the state is still locked down?

The good news/bad news part of that is that we learned yesterday that a good percentage of that 36M unemployed is probably just Nigerian scammers.

I've always identified as Libertarian-lite. This has really made me fall way deeper into that mindset. You're so right.

I think Trump is an incompetent, corrupt, narcissistic sociopath, but I think it is past time to open things back up while still maintaining some caution with social distancing recommendations.

The biggest failure in this whole ordeal is the lack of a rigorous testing, tracing, and isolating program nationwide. That was the responsibility of the White House and its agencies, and taking action is what the Bush and Obama administrations did in prior pandemic outbreaks.

You wanted immediate mass production of test kits for a novel virus out of China BEFORE it got here? How about some pretty standard personal responsibility and have people isolate themselves here?

I certainly think he's a narcissist but most politicians and famous people are. I'll vote for him again over the nursing home patient the Dems are going to roll out there

I am not trying to dispute anything, but when it comes to these things, you can find something to justify your point. It's like religion. People can go to the bible to find something to justify a belief they have.

Same with politics. When something becomes a big news worthy story, there is the initial reaction then after that settles in, people start heading to their political side's corner. Like this board, when something happens its not hard to figure out what side the majority of the board will take. Its like it is programmed in people. Liberals and conservatives and because of that I would say you are morons

and you can continue to be naive in your belief that those 2 lists are being treated equally by the national media. that's fine. but for most of us it is black and white. Clearly: one side has a D next to their names and are crowned as heroes and brave and doing the right thing. The other side has an R next to their names and have been painted as careless and reckless pushing to save the economy while letting thousands die. none of said opinions are based on any facts or metrics. in fact, the #'s would actually show the exact opposite and prove how biased they are and how foolish the sheep are that believe them.

keep playing the naive card and acting like there isn't a huge difference.
