The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now say that the novel virus “does not spread easily” from touching contaminated surfaces or objects.
quote:

“The virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly through close contact from person-to-person (within about 6 feet). Person-to-person contact is a highway. Touching infected surfaces are little paths, but they don’t carry the big viral traffic,”

No need to hoard hand sanitizer anymore.

They'll come back in a month and mandate you keep hand sanitizer on your person at all times. Just like they did with masks.

But we still need to stay shut down until there is a 100% effective vaccine and no new cases. We can't risk one life.

If this thing was as contagious as originally feared, so many more hospital workers would have been infected. Which then would move on to their families, and out to everyone else. I really hope we never have this kind of world wide overreaction again.

I agree!!!

Now excuse me while I drink a few beers and then drive my car to Wendy’s to eat a triple baconator, and post about it on Facebook live as I drive home.

Better wear that mask while you’re driving. Prevents self infection.

I like to cover my steering wheel in crisco before I drive so the virus just slides off.

Explains how I haven't received it yet even though I've received probably 3-4 dozen amazon packages since this all started.

That’s the thing...this virus isn’t nearly as contagious as being portrayed. And, now CDC confirms what doctors have been saying since freakin March. The virus is transmitted primarily through sustained touching and secondarily through being coughed on/sneezed on by infected person...ie person to person.

Anecdotally, a friend of mine came down with virus on Mother’s Day. She works in the healthcare industry with seniors so not a huge surprise. Despite her positive test, NONE of her family members caught the virus from her. Obviously lots of germs in the house before her diagnosis yet no one got sick.
