Not to the same extent.

They were trying to jiggle their under-dash 8 track which got a bit off track

Trekked the Causeway this morning and confirm. If a car was stalled in lane you wouldn’t have enough time to prevent collision unless you were cautious and vigilant prior to. Causeway always implements reduction in speed limit, convoys, and/or lane closures during heavy fog days. They clearly messed up not doing so today

I think I heard the Causeway's GM say that the decision to begin convoys was made just as they received the first call of the accident because the thicker fog came in quick.
Northbound is also shut down, as well as intermittent closures of the spillway in both directions.

We had to read the newspaper while driving
Much less convenient

It’s a shite show out there this morning. Would think the fog would burn off by now but the humidity is a bitch

Wife was about to leave to go across but sick kid Dr appt delayed that.
We soon went from stressed and aggravated to grateful for the good fortune as she would have been stuck or potentially involved in the wrecks.
Little things.

i went through the toll station right around 7 and there was a little wreck just after it then, then smooth sailing after. however, the fog was super dense. was surprised they didnt already have convoys going. it was crazy thick, at times you couldnt even see the next 1/10th mile marker, so less than 500ft visiblity. people still driving 70+

Thought convoy was in effect based on how backed up the toll booths were this morning, but was smooth sailing once on the bridge, even with pretty dense fog.

Same here. I was passing through around 7:20. I was just getting to the toll when the tow truck was coming out. What pissed me off was that they didn't send any text/email notification saying there was an accident, I would have taken i12. Waze and Google Maps had it marked but I had already passed i12.

The Causeway sucks under any weather conditions, especially fog.

Crossed over at 5:15 this morning and it wasn’t bad. Heavy stuff must have rolled in later

Financially punish the cited party
Make it so costly to clog up a roadway that people drive in fear

Do you know how much easier it was to hold a fully spread newspaper open across the steering wheel? 10 and 2 by default, bro
