“Police officers are investigating the city’s latest murder where an innocent man, a plumber, was shot after he was caught in a crossfire.

It was just after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 when Baton Rouge Police officers responded to a shooting at 4660 Fairfields Ave. with a man inside his truck. At the scene, officers found Trevor Harrison, 27, of Central, shot to the face.

Sources confirm to UWK that Harrison, who was a plumber, was completing a job near the shooting scene and was in his work pickup truck.”

Sometimes money talks. If the dollar amount is right, I'll be available 25/8.

I just looked to see exactly were that location is, its about a block from Triple S grocery where Alton Sterling got himself killed.

frick that, people need to stop providing services to those areas until they clean shite up. Until people can go in there are do a job without having to worry about being robbed... or killed. I know there is risk everywhere, but yall know what I am getting at. Its the elements in that area that makes it more risky. There are likely some good people who live in that area and are either too old to just move out or can't afford to do so, but damn.

Terrible. Tradesmen should refuse to run service call in this area indefinitely.

As a plumber that’s works in service in these areas of Baton Rouge, I’m shook. Demanding a raise first thing in the morning. I’ve seen it all and then some in these areas , but being in them at nighttime is the sketchiest. My head stays on a swivel at all times but at least during the daylight the tPOS’s are not out in droves like they are at night. I will say from my experience that most people in North Baton Rouge are genuinely good folks that have to deal with this type of frickery day in and day out. Prayers to the young man’s family and friends.

First there were "Food Deserts".
Now there should be "Contractor Deserts"

Damn.

That's awful. I worked that area for years and always made sure to get out of there well before dark. It's a damn shame. Horrible. Scumbags have no respect for life at all

Baw ignored the $30k rule. If there are multiple houses worth < $30k within a 1/4 mile of anywhere, there is never any reason to go within a mile of it.

Zillow has the houses 2-4 up the skreet valued at $22-26k.
