what is that nonsense you just spewed?

You talking about my comment on priests not having to worry about morality clauses, or us not having to worry about the 10 commandments any more?

I seriously doubt that heterosexuals are repenting for premarital sex or the use of artificial birth control

I have repented for both of those sins, so yes some do. Some don't, but that doesn't mean that it is ok.

My biggest struggle right now is the fact that my wife wants me to get a vasectomy. She thinks she will need to go to the psych ward if we have a 5th kid. In the past couple of years, my faith has become a larger part of my life, and I don't want to get one because of my faith.

So we don't have to abide by that whole "Thou shall not kill" clause anymore?

I don't think that aligns with the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament.

Yea, that. I understand many of you immediately think of gay sex with children whenever religion comes up, but your brand of crazy makes even less sense than what we usually see from the puddle brain mob.

So when do we have to go by the OT, and when do we have to go by the NT?

I thought Jesus "fulfilled the law" whatever the frick that means.

Apparently, you don't.

It's only when the issue of the Catholic Church pushing morality comes up.

Sorry.

Insert another coin, and play again!

I sure don't. I blame my parents for raising a sane, well adjusted human.

the Catholic Church, as with all churches, are supposed to push morality.

Churches are run by men, mistakes will be made.

That's a tough one...

Though in this instance your faith may be detrimental to her should she get pregnant and birth a fifth child. I'd definitely take that potential harm into consideration.

Also... don't be surprised if she isn't willing to risk sex. Your faith may come to mean celibacy.

I would try to bring her into your faith journey more. Having more children is obviously scary and hard but sacrifice often times brings forth the greatest payoffs.

I used NFP for years, can be very effective...

Only celibacy is 100% though and it sounds like she really has her hands and heart full with the existing four kiddos.

The hard part with NFP, from my woman perspective, is the ONE time you should refrain... is the same time you are most primed and interested in having some marital fun.

So why doesn't she get her tubes tied? Mine was done laparoscopically as an outpatient, and the recovery time was very short.

right but depending on your flavor of morality - sex is for procreative and unitive purposes - married couples should be having sex

sacrifices are necessary - we just need to look at the Cross for a reminder

I’m guessing he doesn’t want her to do that for the same reasons that he doesn’t want to get a vasectomy.

Agreed... but not just and only on the woman's part.

Don't need anyone going Andrea Yates because they had more children than they could handle.

St. Francis on Metairie Road is a big fraud itself.

My daughter went there & was harassed by a male student and we had proof & then other parents came forward saying same things with their daughters the year before etc… he would draw inappropriate sexual pictures on paper and give it to the girls, write on their notebooks, verbal stuff.

So I put it all together, it took everything in me not to go buck wild. I went the school, found the cop on duty & said you need to accompany me because this isn’t going to be good.

I tore into the principal, went to the top Salesian for the school, did everything, and this little prick was protected because I’m sure his family are big donors etc…

It was right before the end of the school year and Easter break.

I demanded he be kicked out and that other parents would come forward and was about to take it to the News stations.

So they suspend him for the “spring break period”, what a joke.

So I didn’t want all the Press etc… and I told them my daughter will not be returning after spring break, that she will never set foot in that school again and we won’t be doing any more school work for the year, and they better figure it out and give us our report card at the end and we move on, because if I have to bring her back after the break, someone is going to get hurt.

And that was it, we ended the year early & let them continue on.

Screw the Catholic BS, especially in NOLA, huge money grab, pedo’s lurking the hallways & it’s all about the donations etc… it’s a hoax of a religion & I grew up in it from grammar school thru college.

Won’t step foot in another Catholic school again. Double standards galore.
