precisely... the guy is using modern day nomenclature and applying it to that era of time...

realistically, it's semantics, and anyone getting that upset about this is disingenuous, being contrarian for contrarian's sake, or fricking retarded, if not all 3 at the same time

I might listen to him if he wasnt shamelessly using Jesus to make a political point about a current war in Israel

Catholic. Too many cooks in the kitchen? They aren’t the only ones.
Religion is an absolute joke. 100% in it for the money.

It’s a means of social control and a way of setting societal norms.

Weird stance to take. Of course I care about many things.

The ancestry of a person that some believe to be the son of god just isn’t one of them.

There is no such thing as a 'Palestinian'.

First, the Israeli people have been in the land of Judea for over 4000 years.

Before 135 AD, the area was referred to as Judea.

After the second Israeli 135 AD revolt failed, Roman Emperor Hadrian renamed the area 'Syria Palaestina' as an insult to the revolting Israeli's and in an effort to stamp out Israeli identity.

Jesus was in the People’s Front of Judea.

Peter was in the Judean People’s front.

They met at a rally in Galilee.

To say Jesus was a Palestinian in the way we know Palestinians today is ludicrous.

Jesus Christ is not a Palestinian Jew. He is God

Yea but he was also a regular guy. That's a cornerstone of Christianity.

quote:

For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah

quote:

Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, “What are you seeking?” And they said to him, “Rabbi, where are you staying?"

quote:

Jesus answered him, “I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together."

Sounds oughly Jewish to me

I don’t think most modern Palestinians could point out their location on a map.

It’s was a Jewish state for over a thousands years before he was born. Even the name Rome gave the area, Judaea, comes from its original name, Judah. The term “Jew” literally means “one from Judah”. See my post one page back for more details on the history of this area.
