Well, Karen and her Toyota Sienna thought it would be a good idea to park not 1, but 2 wheels on my grass near the sidewalk.
I find it very annoying. People who do that are very inconsiderate. Of course, there's always been inconsiderate people. I remember when I was just a kid, one of the neighbors had a party and told people it was okay to park in my parent's driveway, which they did, thereby boxing my parent's car in. Some people honestly believe the world revolves around them.

Isn't that strip of land owned by the town?

The thing is, it isn’t your property, it’s the city’s. Your property technically starts after the sidewalk
No it is your property, all the way to the property line.
However, the city, utility companies, etc have a right-of-way to use your land up to a certain point.
People don't have a right-of-way to park in your yard.

Did you ever think of simply asking them to move? You don’t have to get ugly but you can certainly let them know you would prefer that they not park in your yard.

Yes he does. He likely is also responsible for the sidewalk if it’s in a planned community and paid for it in his overall cost to build.
To OP, call a tow company next time.

I got a ticket in the suburbs of DFW for parking my own vehicle in my yard.
The kids were playing basketball so I moved it out of the driveway, forgot and left it overnight.
Who knew you can't park in your own freaking yard

Cars parked on your lawn
When cars park on my lawn without permission they get towed.
150 dollar tow bill and they usually do not do it again.

He shouldn't have to. People should know better than to be so inconsiderate in the first place.

But the gouges they put in his yard is a bigger issue, especially when idiots do this right after a hard rain.
