Why do so many of our ships look like the Soviet fleet in 1995?

The captain may not have even been on the bridge. I’m still holding on to some hope that a minority transgender was actually steering.

This happens all the time and it’s shameful. Read the accident investigation from the John McCain collision and you can see the level of competence the USN puts to sea. There are others, but that one shows almost comical errors.

The entire carrier group’s 1st priority is to protect the carrier at all cost.
Yea! The exact reason we have Arleigh Burke destroyers in the group. Why didn't we open fire on this commercial ship?

i didn't know ships could get close to a carrier let alone have a collision with one

Apparently the rust situation is due to environmental regulations

Why is a non US Navy ship allowed to be so close to a carrier??? I guess I could understand a tug, but a 200 foot long merchant ship????

Seems like the other ship should have seen a big arse aircraft carrier
You would be surprised as to which one of these could have turned quickly and gotten out of the way

Although he is responsible and will properly bear the consequences. It was prolly one or more others who fricked up.

I guarantee there was more than a football team’s worth of sailors on the bridge. A dozen of them watching it unfold with collision alarms screeching.

Dang that ship needs PM and a paint job. Never seen one of our ships look so shabby. It's an embarrassment really.
You definitely weren't in the Navy. This is typical of any ship on deployment after a short time. It actually looks good.

Seems there should be an alarm going. Off when anything gets with in a certain range of the ship so they can warn it to stay clear.
