Geez. So where the hell did this shirtless guy come from? And with what the witnesses said, it seems like the cops would have brought him in for questioning at least.

According to previous articles, there were a total of 4 people in Smith's Mercedes SUV. Smith, his wife, and two other people. The police have not released the names of the two people in the backseat.

Ya the way I read it was there were 2 people in the backseat with Smith in addition to the people in the Impala.

Isn't it likely at least one was Pierre Thomas?

From what the witnesses said, I am trying to understand why shirtless maniac wasnt brought in by NOPD

Perhaps it was another Saints player who was sitting in the back not named Pierre Thomas.

Agreed. And where the hell was this agitated shirtless wonder heading? One witness said he was trying to leave the scene. Why? And how the hell are we just hearing about this guy?

weve heard of him before but some assumed it mustve been hayes (or smith)based on initial reports.

im surprised we dont have a simple, thorough, police report type document out yet -- though im far from an expert on whats customary in a murder case.

That would be a bombshell. But that is a conspiracy theory at this point

I'm sure they asked him questions, but if he didn't shoot anyone, what would he have been detained for?

I think the shirtless driver was probably with the impala. Both he and Smith may have seemed to be "together" because they were both pissed about being rear-ended?

weve seen a few possible names reported and semi-refuted.

pierre saying he saw the shooting made it seem like him, but it seems its been refuted and he arrived just after. similar to the reports the cop was there but then not. the remaining passengers are still a mystery.

im still under the impression that hayes will need to be held responsible for his actions but this has been a little strange.

For being involved in a murder and being described as a shirtless man acting crazy and ridiculous

I dont know, I feel like if I was a cop I would want to bring that guy in for questioning

Initial report will be ready for prelim, but it isn't going to say a whole lot. Defense isn't entitled to the supplemental (which is the detailed report) until after the indictment.

The impala driver is an unrelated civilian and was not running around shirtless.
