They should consider joining up with Uber if they like to drive so much and need a job.

And if I work at Wal-Mart or the like, I'm increasing my chances of getting sick, I won't have healthcare, and I won't make enough money to pay my bills.

The increased UI benefits allow for me to do all of that, and to support my local economy.

I've made a rational decision. I'm not changing that decision because some guys on a message board are butthurt about it.

I'll go to work when I'm offered a job that matches my skills and experience.

Sure hope you never leave your house with this retard logic. My God, how are people actually this dumb?

And this is the true disservice of the 'mercy' of welfare.
Removing man's motivation to improve himself.
I dont intend to imply ole wade wont get back in the workforce...but this is exactly how the cycle of poverty and dependence works for others.

Go cook some fries and wash cars. That’s seems to be about the only thing you have the “skills” to do.

At least you’re a welder. You can take pride in your work. Everyone appreciates welders

Are warehouse jobs seriously that scarce? How long does it take to find a job in a warehouse? On a loading dock? Driving a forklift? Picking orders? Scheduling shift workers?

Serious answer? This is all well under my experience level, but I have started applying to these types of jobs.

My honeydos are all done and I'm bored.

I apologize for being ignorant to this as I have never filed. Back to the main point, there’s gotta be something that you are over qualified for to use as a crutch. shite, I took a pay cut after graduating in 2008 because the bottom rung paid less than my retail job.

I'm to the point where I'm applying for just about anything in my field.

I've used the time off to update some certifications and get some new ones. I'm more marketable than I was, but companies are shy about hiring.

This is what I've done with my "vacation".

When I do get a face to face, I want to be able to list off all the certifications I've gotten instead of telling them I worked 80 hrs a week on minimum wage because the OT doesn't think I deserve unemployment after my company folded.

Oh yes thanks for supporting your local economy with the taxpayer money you are being handed. It’s fine that you are on unemployment, but to try to make it sound like you are helping us all out is beyond ridiculous.

Rational? I guess in a way. But you have to know that bragging about being content to not work while living off of the taxpayer money of others that do is going to rub people the wrong way.

Why wouldn’t you have health care? One of the big parts of Obama care was that every company of 50 or more employees has to offer health insurance to full time employees.
