'74 Chevy Vega. It did not end well. Engine burned up w/ less than 5000 miles.

Same here. Mine was a Blue ‘84 manual. Damn thing was indestructible….and I tried.

Came home from school on the bus. Was my 15th birthday and had a 1978 Buick regal with a bow waiting for me. Only had to be 15 back then as long as you took drivers Ed.

didn't have a car until the folks bought a '79 Corona (grey/silver) out of the blue in August before my Sr year. Before that, I drove the dk brown Buick Estate wagon when my mother didn't need it for work carpool. (did NOT have the fake wood paneling)
The Corona was rock solid. underpowered, but solid. best seat I've had in a car.
