1962 Chevy II. I changed the ragged headliner to a groovy baby blue pattern.

I rode to/from school just about every day with a friend of mine who drove a Volkswagen Thing:
I tried so hard to convince him to paint it and make it look like a Wehrmacht kubelwagen, but no dice:

I was not in H.S. nor driving anywhere near 1979

1973 poop brown Mercury Capri. 4-speed. No A/C ever installed. Every so often the exhaust pipe would separate from the manifold and wake up the world.
Eventually secured it with 2 c-clamps that I wired to the firewall with baling wire so I wouldn't lose them when they inevitably fell off. Fun times.

in maroon. totaled it rear-ending a glass truck on Siegen, fortunately not carrying glass. Brakes went out on me, which was a fun feature.
then this beauty, same color
someone ran me off I 59 near Laurel, MS, changing lanes on top of me.
then rounding off the 1985 imports--kept this (identical car) until i bought my first new car in college. traded it.

didn't have a car in high school. drove my dad's '88 dodge or my mom's '94 Oldsmobile when I could. dad had a company truck, so the dodge was usually available during work hours
