wearing memorial shirts...
See that could be a different situation though.
Sometimes people do the shirts as a way to raise money for the family.

Do non-Mexicans do it? They're kind of common in Texas, but so is shite like this:
and if a semi-famous Tejano singer should perish, the memorials go all over cars in all kinds of forms.

Why are people always trying to "raise money" for shite?
The only way I've ever known/been taught how to "raise money" is to go out there and work for it.

Been waiting for this to pop up. I don't get them at all. Trashy.

I agree with you. This phenomenon is more urban and hispanic.

Well the shirt situation I was referring to was a woman I work with (she does have a job) who lost 3 children in a car accident. Friends/family did a gofundme page and the tshirt sales to help raise money that could be used to pay for funeral expenses(think about how much that is for 3 children) and as a way to show support for her during that time. The money raised also allowed for her to take extended time off of work to grieve and still be able to care for her other child.

Car Sticker memorials
I don't know if the sticker itself is trashy per se, but there's a 100% chance it's on a trashy person's car.
