Car Jack for Toyota Rav 4, help
Posted on 9/4/20 at 9:47 am

My son has a 2010 Rav 4 that does not have a car jake in it.
I have looked at some but I am not a car guy and was wondering if the OT board could give any suggestions
I was thinking a scissors jack would work and Amazon has some

Scissor jacks suck. It's an SUV, so you could easily fit a hydraulic jack in the back.

Okay, first, wait til it comes to a complete stop. Carjacking is much more dangerous with a moving vehicle.
Next, have a handgun clearly visible to the driver.
Pull on the door handle to see if it's unlocked. You may be able to pull the driver out.
Point the gun at the driver and scream "Get out MFer or I'll blow your head off."
When the driver is out, take their place and drive off as quick as you can. Once you've cleared the scene, drive normal as to not garner unwanted attention.
Enjoy your 2010 Rav 4!!

No need to spend 150 at the stealership for a Toyota one. Just go to NAPA and get a scissor jack. A standard hydraulic one probably won’t reach high enough.

Just go pick up a trolley jack from walmart. I saw the other day they had a kit with the trolley jack and jack stands. If you are worried about space then just go to harbor freight and grab a Hydraulic Jack. I keep a small piece of plywood and a hydraulic jack along with some jackstand in the tool box of my pick up truck.
A lot of the newer cars don't come with a spare tire, so I doubt they come with a jack. Just a can of fix a flat.

A Rav 4 is pretty light, right? Just buy a bottle jack for it

I had 2006 Rav 4 for my daughter to drive. The jack was in the back compartment by back door. Lift up the rug and cover and then look in the sunken in compartment with tire and jack.
Maybe different for 2010.

I will not assist you in the committing of a felony. I would not survive prison.
