After watching that video another video of a wreck on the same Highway popped up. This video shows a fatal wreck that happened because of some sheep. The ending is horrible.

Sheep cause fatal wreck.

Wow!!! But, why open the door to run and get burned up. Step on the gas and get away.

I was wondering the same thing because I saw that person get out and running away from the fire. Also not only cops have dash cams these days. More and more people are putting dash cams in their own cars for what ever reason

probably smoking a cigarette

Nah. That's one of the biggest myths around.

An already smouldering cig can be dropped directly into a gas can and won't burn shite. Gas will put the cig out like water does.

Now the spark or fire made trying to light a cig around gas vapors or liquid gas is the real threat.

But it always gets me laughing when movies show some badass character save the day by blowing up the villain after throwing a cig onto a gas spill. LOL Would be a lame fail IRL.

Looked like it was before to me.

Static discharge perhaps?

Static discharge is a real possible. So is a spark from a relay in the engine compartment or any other electricalal component, like a motor or the alternator.

Likely not hot enough, autoigniton temp of LP is between 700 & 900 degrees, depending on the mixture. A small engine operating properly isn’t likely to be anywhere near that.

Catalytic converters can get upwards of 1500 degrees.

I’d be willing to bet he got out of the car because flames where coming through the air vents

That is true but typically under higher loads. At speed under 30 MPH with a properly operating engine, the surface temps a most likely lower than 700 deg F. If the LP cloud had enough accumulation to enter the air intake of the vehicle, that would likely increase the unturned hydrocarbons and spike the temps but I would expect it to encounter a spark somewhere in the engine compartment first.

In any case, stupid to drive into that if the driver knew what was there.

As that car rolls back, looks like Doc hit 88 mph.
