Do you think it is normal for a car to burn a quart of oil every month with normal use?? Look up the Hyundai Theta engine. Trust me, I also battled with that shite company. They fought me every step of the way. But by all means, go purchase a Hyundai.

Toyota/Lexus: first car I drove was a late 80s Corolla stick. That thing is probably still running somewhere.

Honda/Acura: my 85 accord hatchback smelled like farts and some dumbasses ran me off I59 and totaled it. But it still ran.

GM/Chevy: 76 V8 Nova FTW. Was our family car crowing up. Couldn’t kill it.

Dodge-unless it’s a TRX: we had Caravans growing up that were very reliable. My fishing guide/shuttle svc neighbor in Montana buys every one he can get his hands on. It’s getting a little annoying.

Kia: only rented one but I camped in it (AWD Sorento) four days in Aspen like a gypsy and loved it.

Hyundai: never had one.

Nissan: same. But we had a Datsun B210 that was a little tank. Wait I’m an idiot, I bought my grandad’s 1995 pickup from my grandmother when he died. Then my brother drove it and sold it. People left notes on it asking to buy it all the time.

Volkswagen: I’ve owned 3 and an Audi. The Audi was a piece of shite. VWs were great. My dad had a few beetles. Never saw a shop.

Mazda: blasphemy. My RX-7 was gold. They make lovely fun cars.

You wont buy a honda or toyota??? Why? Those are about the two most reliable cars made.

no it was a legit problem with the timing rods that fricked up the engine. There was a whole lawsuit. It fricked me over as well with a ‘18 Santa Fe.

What sucked is they wouldn’t fix it because I didn’t get a stupid update that didn’t even fix the problem. Just made it so the car could get somewhere safe before the engine blew. I got the letter apparently but it looked like every other spam warranty letter you get in the mail so I tossed it.

Only reason I know I got it is because I talked to the lawyer that presented the case for the claimants and he looked it up. He even said the whole situation was bullshite but that was basically the only way they’d get the case settled. I do think Hyundai legitimately fixed the issue now but that whole thing sucked.

I have owned 3 Hyundais now and have had the least amount of work in comparison to other brands I have owned.

I bought my boys GMC trucks and have spent more money on upkeep of those POS.

Probably ford too I am partial to Chevys and have had good luck with them. I’ve put probably three quarters of a million miles on several GM 5.3 V8’s with no issues.

I had to replace an engine, catalytic converter, and two flywheels on my last Chevrolet truck. Have driven F-150s since with, knock on wood, no problems.
