How is it possible that these pilots haven't been identified by internet sleuths already? Is TD.com and Twitter/X really that locked down these days?

Someone help me with a dumbass question, why didn't they at any point attempt to go around after coming in so fast and struggling so badly to get the plane on the ground? We may not know the answer to this yet but seems like there was ample opportunity to say "yea this is fricked, we need to try again"

I’m just a PPL and I would have gone around. My only guess is they wanted to land before a storm arrived. Or they were so late in making a decision, the engines would not have spooled up fast enough
They weren’t “slightly” fast, they were exceedingly fast. Faster than what would be considered a “stable approach“
I’m curious what the voice recorder will show. Captain should have been screaming at the FO over their speed. And once the intended landing point was missed, They should have’s been very mindful of remaining length of runway.

The brakes won’t even activate until the mains are on the ground with the wheels spun up to a certain speed.
So no. He didn’t get brakes or reversers till almost the end of the runway

Yea I mean I'm just a keyboard pilot so wth do I know but my understanding is that there are guidelines you have to meet regarding speed, altitude, etc or flight rules dictate and automatic go around. Seems they either ignored these things or somehow were unaware
But of course there's still a ton we don't know about this regarding weather or potential plane issues, etc.

It was reported that the Captain just received his type rating for a 767 a few months ago. He was 55 with under 8,000 hours flying time. Thats not a lot of hours for a 55 yo commercial pilot.
On the rumor side, it is believed that a majority of his hours were on rotary aircraft.

Since Captain Steve flew that model of aircraft, he zeroed in on that. The video clearly shows that the wheels were not down which is required to activate the landing gear's brakes, the air brakes and the reverse thrust.
Now it is reported that they did try to do a go-around, but way too late. Looks like serious pilot error at this stage.
Biggest problem with many of these videos is that they all tend to milk the reveals way too long instead of getting to the point.
I'm always curious about these things. My father was one of the top aircraft accident investigators and safety expert back in his day.

Steve is a clown. An ambulance chasing clown who is more worried about posting FIRST than posting correct. In his uniform too like a frickin tool.
Anyone that’s flown a Boeing knows those things, FlyingForMoney is a better channel, and there are many others that aren’t shiddy steeeeeve

This reminds me of when I driving and I approach a traffic signal as it turns yellow. You initially hit the brakes but then dont think you can stop it so you floor it but then realize you will run the red light so you hit the brakes again.
