As a former cancer patient, I can see the point they were trying to make although I'm not going full conspiratorial. Think about it though, the cancer industry generates close to half a trillion in revenue every year and employs millions. I think most companies work to better battle cancer but not entirely eliminate it.

There are also over 200 types of cancer and they all have different genetic involvement. So there can't be one cure anyhow. There would have to be a bunch of cures.

There are many more than, including all sub-types.

Cancer conspiracy people are wacko.

Many cancers are in fact, "cured" on a daily basis using drugs developed by the evil pharmaceutical companies

No one is immune from cancer, and a lot of researchers are personally invested.

I would imagine if a company came up with a cure for cancer their profits would be astronomical. People will continue getting cancer. If companies didn’t care about curing and preventing there wouldn’t be vaccines, and I’m speaking of good vaccines, not covid or flu.

Abstract

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) extend survival in many patients with cancer but are ineffective in patients without pre-existing immunity1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. Although personalized mRNA cancer vaccines sensitize tumours to ICIs by directing immune attacks against preselected antigens, personalized vaccines are limited by complex and time-intensive manufacturing processes10,11,12,13,14. Here we show that mRNA vaccines targeting SARS-CoV-2 also sensitize tumours to ICIs. In preclinical models, SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines led to a substantial increase in type I interferon, enabling innate immune cells to prime CD8+ T cells that target tumour-associated antigens. Concomitant ICI treatment is required for maximal efficacy in immunologically cold tumours, which respond by increasing PD-L1 expression. Similar correlates of vaccination response are found in humans, including increases in type I interferon, myeloid–lymphoid activation in healthy volunteers and PD-L1 expression on tumours. Moreover, receipt of SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines within 100 days of initiating ICI is associated with significantly improved median and three-year overall survival in multiple large retrospective cohorts. This benefit is similar among patients with immunologically cold tumours.

That's not why there will never be a cure. There will never be a cure for cancer because cancer, per se, isn't a thing. It's a lot of different things

Maybe not a cure but huge advances are being made in early detection. In the future ,early detection blood test and scans will be part of every yearly physical.

It'll be knocked out with minimal treatment.

Cancer breakthroughs aren’t real it’s just a way for doctors wives that run charities to skim money from nfl fans

About 10 years ago there was a stock that was supposed to cure testicular cancer and everybody on the money board invested in it but the stock didn’t do anything

If you get ball cancer nowadays and you go to the doctor the only treatment is to cut em off

Early detection of what? What'll be knocked out?

That's the point I'm making

Another problem is the cost. You do what you can do but the cost for many of these trials and treatments is astronomical and beyond the reach of many.

I wont mention institutions names but there are some prominent ones that we are shut out of. Would not take our insurance nor us.Its been eye opening

Colorectal and Pancreatic are 2 of the biggest killers and early detection LINK

What do you think will be knocked out?

Yeah, I hear you. My Mom passed in 2006 from an Adenocarcinoma Cancer with an unknown primary (CUP). She was given 4-6 months, but gutted it out for almost 3-years. It was brutal!

Some hyper-specific illness lumped into the large bucket we call "cancer"?

Im not saying thats not a major win. Im saying that after that, people will die of cancer, or new cancers will be discovered, and people will say "Why can't we cure cancer?" which more or less amounts to "why can't we eradicate deadly diseases?"

Stage IV Squamous cell carcinoma buccal mucosa (oral cancer), non HPV version. I had “jaw in a day surgery” (use part of your fibula and graft to make a jaw and remake a portion of your mouth), also had a neck dissection as well in addition to 30 radiation treatments. I also lost part of my cheek to make sure they got clean margins. All of this was at 38 years old.

I have my first PET scan since I was declared cancer free in Feb of 25’ on Thursday.

Stay strong.

True. I didn’t mean any harm at all. I prayed through every radiation treatment.

I just believe God lets human nature take its course. I, personally, find it insulting when people tell me that everything is God’s will. The Lord and Savior that I worship would not allow for innocent children to die of cancer; be abused etc if it was his will. I don’t believe it is God’s will that I am NED when others are not. I also don’t blame God for getting cancer.

Life happens and our personal decisions we make control our fate here on earth.

I am sure many will disagree and I am perfectly fine with that.
