This is why, if you are for some ungodly reason I could never imagine, planning to go to NOLA, rent a car.

Then the rental company will pay the ticket then bill you for the amount of the ticket plus an administrative fee for having to write an check for your mistake and charging your credit card again.

Pro Tip for Vengeance:
Borrow a car from your enemy and pass through every single one of those intersections going 30 over.

This is the only reason to pay

Another reason to hate NOLA. Money grab thieves.

It doesn't count on your insurance or anything like that though.

Doesn't have to be illegally parked. They ride down the street in the little white van scanning license plates. If you have unpaid camera or parking tickets they will boot.

You can report your plate lost/stolen and get a new one.

Just return to Canal street, and take a pic of the speed camera. Mail them the pic and tell them they owe you for illegal parking.

how the hell would anybody even know who was driving the vehicle? Yall are so stupid when it comes to this shite

yall are just going to send a ticket to the owner of the car? What about if you had kids that drive? What if you let a friend borrow it? or a family member?

without stopping the person, doing an insurance/registration/license check, how could you possibly verify who the hell was driving the vehicle?

trash the damn thing

New Orleans has these red light/speeding cameras classified as non-moving violations, so they can just fine the registered owner of the vehicle. Just like a parking ticket.

Got one in a school zone in New Orleans when someone else was driving my car. School was not in session at the time, so she wasn't speeding. I sent the collection company an email with those facts and they dropped the ticket. New Orleans had been historically having issues with school zone camera tickets when school was not in session. Don't know if that's still a problem.

Camera tickets are a joke, but it’s still a legal ticket. If you don’t pay, then you can have some minor issues down the road.

29mph in a 20 on Canal

I gotta 26 in a 25 ticket.....
Screw them. I now keep the plate inside the car & will take my chances if I get stopped.
Saved enough on parking meters to pay the ticket if I ever get one.
Plus its fun blowing down Canal watching the flashes in my rearview mirror
