Politics don't belong here on the OT.

Typically, no.

However, some things aren’t typical, and so they migrate here. Overarching issues do exist. Hell, they exist in the world of film as well, but the sensibilities of some have now created “safe spaces” on TD.

That being said, I believe that political threads largely belong on the poli-board, and the mods generally do a good job.

One more thing…I hate that UT and their commie horde has joined the conference.

I remember when that piece of shite murdered the mother, abducted her kids, and killed one of them. The OT developed a theory that the perp was clearly part of a national/international child sex trafficking ring, and was working with a group of pedo traffickers. SFP said that he didn't buy that, and it was probably being blown out of proportion. This board basically called him a pedophile and accused him of personally covering up child sex rings.

It turns out that he was right. Those bashing the shite out of him scurried away without another thought. The hivemind here can get rolling just the same as the PT, and there is no holding it back.

All by design, you say? You mean there is a conspiracy to make us think and talk about politics all the time? Who is perpetrating this design upon us? Why? Man, everything is about politics, isn't it?

so if conservatives believe it was a conspiracy, THAT'S not ok with you, but i'm guessing likewise, if conservatives blame DEI hiring and other such similar policies for such complete and utter incompetence that let a 20 year nobody get a semi-automatic rifle a hundred yards away from a major political candidate and get multiple shots off, THAT probably wont be ok with you either.

so just so that i can understand, it is only ok with you if conservatives believe that a completely functional and competent Secret Service, unaffected by any ideological influence or devious actors, were hoodwinked by a 20 year old nerd?

See what I mean.

My son wanting to transition is NOT a POLITICAL ISSUE.

It is a HUMAN RIGHT and I will discuss it where I please.

Impossible considering "politics" permeates well beyond government.

Is the idea, or reality, of identity politics foreign to you? Many people, some who frequent the OT, can't see that they have become exactly what they profess to hate.

Programming works, baw, no matter which "side" you throw your support behind.

there is a lot of conspiracy theory stuff on the PB for sure. the issue is that SFP "doesnt buy that" and says it's being "blown out of proportion" for virtually every single thing that is posted by a conservative, and then many of these things turn out to be quite true later. so yeah, he's right sometimes. he's wrong A LOT of times too. but the main issue is that he is a smarmy a-hole who isnt as smart as he thinks he is, and he just plays board contrarian 24/7.

Name one fricking policy the democrats have that makes a lick of sense for America?? Immigration? Border security? Etc…

Specifically, which republican bill on immigration and border security do you support? It’s all political satire to drum up support for the parties. Nothing was passed on these issues when Trump was in office. Nothing has been passed now that Rs have control of the House. Rs don’t want to do anything about it, they just want to use it to stir people up.

I feel like we are in the 500s and everyone has a deme and can’t see anything from any perspective other than Green, Blue, Red or White.

Man if you ask that board to just consider the possibility that the assassination attempt wasn't a Secret Service/Deep State conspiracy, they lose their collective shite.

Only a very gullible person would accept the narrative the government and media spells out. There absolutely is nothing loony about asking questions. I havent seen people lose their shite at the suggestion there wasnt a conspiracy. You people just get your feelings hurt when people disagree with you

why do we need a republican bill on immigration and border security when we have an existing border and immigration laws? enforce those laws, get the border under control. the end.

It does, but people don't really care as much as they profess. If they did we wouldn't see the abysmal turnouts for off year local elections. The last buffer between you and an overbearing Federal government is your state and local government, but people can't be bothered to leave the damn house or even know who is running. That lot has more impact on your daily life than who is running for president, but far too many people can't be bothered to give a shite.

Yall are using a notorious shitposter and troll for your arguments that the PT board is "loony"

There's an overarching theme here. The posters here claiming this are all Biden voters who only come to the PT board when there is a tiny sliver of opportunity to push their narrative.

Yall conveniently never ever chime in on border security, crime in Dem run cities, stupid social policies...
