I've seen people bring back half drank gallons of milk and half eaten sandwich loaves. They'll take anything back

So who is wrong, Walmart for selling it or the millions of customers lining up to buy it?

I think if you return with a receipt, there are no limits. But if you don’t have the receipt they ask for your ID and then I think you can only have a limited # of returns without a receipt within a certain time period.

It may depend on the cost of the item too. A customer service person told me recently they don’t worry about it too much if it’s under $20.

Most retailers can and will ban you if your history shows you to be a "habitual" returner. Generally, you need to have about 90 days or more between returns to stay off the list.

So you are one of those trashy arse people standing in line at the customer service desk with a cart full of shite?? That’s pretty high on the trashy scale. Might be on par with the people who hangout at the dmv all day

Pretty much anything I buy at Wal Mart is less than $10.

Are you that poor that you are returning $10 items in volume?

Typical. Would share my true thoughts but I'd rather not get banned

That's not stealing technically. It is fraud though

maybe not. Is there a law or posted polcy to prohibit this?

isn't it up the seller to challenge the return?

They have a $300 limit (maybe $500) per year on non-receipt returns.

That's to stop drug heads from stealing shite from one Walmart and returning it to another, then selling the gift card to a Mexican at checkout for .50 on the dollar

It’s up to having morals.

I can’t wait til social reputation ratings are mainstream for more than just uber.

That looser will find everything more expensive and perpetual shunning by those of good character.

I don't think there is a limit. There probably is a limit of returning items without a receipt.

how are you any different than the trash who shoplift, then return the stolen items to Walmart for gift cards, then sell the gift cards at 50% value to get actual cash for an 8 ball?

It's sad, TBH. Walmarks, like a few other stores, have determined it is easier to just cut those losses than to have an argument in the store where a scene is made or fight it in a legal battle. It's stuff like that along with their, and Home Depots, decision to not stop shoplifters that causes everyone else to pay more. Hell, DAs are now getting in on the act too like in Boston now where a DA won't pursue charges for stealing $250 worth and under.
