Went the Saturday after it happened. Walked bourbon street and never felt safer. It will be fine.

They are averaging 16 million people a year. I’m sure they will be fine that Frank from La Place isn’t coming to eat at Mulattes.

The smell would keep me from visiting again before the thought of getting caught up in a terror attack. Place is disgusting.

I was in the quarter Friday and the warehouse district Saturday. I love going out in NOLA and will continue to do so.
The terror attacks have actually made me want to go to bourbon, a place I typically avoid like the plague.

Did Atlanta survive? Did NYC survive?

It’s no secret that I hate New Orleans but my wife and I plan on going soon to support the city. We were going to go this past weekend but our daughter got sick so we decided to stay home. We’ll go soon though and we’ll be spending money.
It’s the least we can do to support the city right now.

The positive reinforcement outweighs the negative reinforcement .
“This could never happen to me”

Just booked a trip for several days for Mardi Gras. POS terrorists will not win.

We spent Saturday night there. Had a great meal in the warehouse district and fun with friends at a packed club in the CBD. Stayed at a hotel on canal not far from where the attack took place. There were people everywhere despite the cold temps. Change your tampon.

Last weekend it was clean and there was a big police presence. It was a good time day drinking.

If years of rampant crime haven't done it, a one-off terrorist attack surely won't.

I posted something a few months ago about NOLA real estate struggling, Jan 1st wont help

Bourbon will be slammed for the Super Bowl as if nothing ever happened.

Place is dogshit now. Has been for a while.
Please, tell me about your utopia. Can’t wait to hear about it.
How do you people defend it? It is a fricking shithole. It’s a liberal cesspool, and it used to be great. How can yall defend it?
People that defend Nola are the epitome of battered wife syndrome. Just because youre used to it being a shithole doesn’t make it defendable.
It’s so frustrating because it doesnt have to be this way. The chances of you getting shot or robbed by a black male are astronomically higher than nearly every single major city in America and people on this board will continue to defend it, which is only enabling it.

I still want to hear about your utopia. There might be enough time to write a letter to the NFL to move the Super Bowl there.
I don’t know if you’ve seen the news, but every single American city has problems. New Orleans, however, draws 10-20 million visitors per year.
Place is not dog shite. Millions of people don’t typically travel to a place to roll around in dog shite.

I went the weekend after the first went to the WW2 museum, stayed in the hotel adjacent.
Bumped around to some different restaurants.
Everything seemed back to normal.
Carry your pistol, don’t go to places that will wand you.
The museum has a metal detector but you can check in with your CCL and you can carry there.

I am no fan of Jeff Landry. However, I will admit that he gets it right on seeing the importance of a safe and welcoming New Orleans to the state. He has made it a priority to have increased state involvement in public safety in the city (in the absence/failure of local city government). He understands that a healthy and safe New Orleans is good for the rest of the state as well as driving the local economy.
I hope he is successful in reclaiming the city as a safe place for people to visit and party.
