I have the box, receipt, and within return period.
Do I have to go back to the same WM where I bought the computer?

People return boxes of fricking rocks instead of computers to Walmart. I’m sure you can return it to any Walmart baw.

One of my first bosses worked at the Walmart returns counter and he said it was store policy that if someone had the receipt and the original packaging you had to honor the return.
He said the amount of gallon milk containers that were returned with about 4oz of milk left was astounding.

Pretty sure you can't return food-related items any more for a refund, only exchange

I would pay for the gallon of milk to say yes to the exchange then pour out all but 4oz, hand it over and say have a nice day. You know the simpleton thought they would get a whole gallon.

My first job was 20+ years ago and he was 40+ at the time so it was likely before this change.
He also told a story about how someone came and returned the handle of a Zebco rod n reel. They told him they went to cast and everything disconnected and flew in the water leaving them with just the handle. He just knew they were lying but had to honor the return.
A few months passed and he bought the same setup for his younger sister. They were fishing in the pond and the same thing happened to hers. He said he just sat there laughing while she cried but obviously ended up getting it replaced.

WalMart has these things called “computers” at EVERY ONE of their locations that all “talk” to each other through something called the “internet” and through this system they can verify your purchase of (ironically) a computer at another store and accept it for refund if appropriate.
So yeah.
So yeah.
