Is he? I've heard about the murder accusation and the obvious affinity for the devil's lettuce but never anything about him being racist.

He was a musician with mass appeal to a generation. That gives him clout to influence that generation in the same way that some really shitty people from the 60s, 70s and 80s became spokespeople. Hes just another shitty celebrity who became a successful personality

He can be funny.
Doesn't take himself too seriously. Unlike other rap stars.

You either forget or missed the on camera interview where he openly admitted that he doesn’t like white people during the COVID era coming out party for black celebrities when a whole bunch of athletes and media types admitted they hate white people just because they are white.
Easy to miss it at the time as just about daily a black celebrity was in the news speaking their own brand of racism. It’s the same time the media was pushing the Asian Hate narrative before realizing all the videos were NOT white people attacking.

WTF is this thread? Now Snoop is the cool to hate on celebrity of the day?

I think its a little over the top, but he seems like a great guy.
Snoop was one of the first concerts I ever went to in high school. So he holds a special place in my heart.

Extremely intelligent, with relentless self marketing. You do not get all the exposure he has had sitting on your stoop smokin' weed.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. Has he produced anything of substance since the 90s?
Posted on 8/22/24 at 8:39 am to TigerBR1111
I haven't read the responses, but as someone around the same age....he was a great rapper as a young man. The music lost its edge, but he's generally a likable guy which has helped sustain his popularity.
I think of a cool
when I hear his name.
