It's because I'm driving through Louisiana and they are all making sure to get up in my grill, literally.

These are the kind that lay eggs in the dry dirt.

The entire lower 1/3rd of the state is a swamp and LA mosquitoes don't mind commuting to work.

Bill Gates released a shite ton of genetically modifed skeeters upon the south.

You're probably going to contract malaria ... just so you know. Start drinking the quinine water bruh.

WBRZ - Dry Summer Causes Mosquito "Pandemic" in EBR

quote:

Osagie emphasized that for Baton Rouge, the mosquitoes were bred a few parishes away in Lake Maurepas. Then, the insects were blown toward Baton Rouge, leading to heavier swarms.

One of my kids must’ve left the door open for a minute or two this evening. I walked into the kitchen and there was at least 100 of them on the ceiling and the walls just chilling. I’ve never seen that many mosquitos inside my home - or any home - in my 38 years living in south Louisiana. I quickly grabbed a can of flea spray and went to town on them. The floor looked like I declared war on mosquitos. This battle went to me.

It is my understanding that the mosquitos are bad when it is wet and the mosquitos are worse when it is dry because they are looking for something wet.

The drought has led to large marsh fires which in turn have pushed hordes of mosquitoes elsewhere (such as Baton Rouge) to get away from the fires’ smoke.

It's located in the adjacent parish.
