It's difficult if both people are attractive. I have a few friends who are girls that I've known since freshman year at UT. They're also good friends with my wife and were in our wedding. They're attractive but married. We're not necessarily "close" though.

I have a friend from work I text and joke around with. She's hot. Very cool. Lesbian. No issues there.

This is my wife’s best friend. She’s got a bunch of guys she keeps in the friend zone and trots out when she’s feeling down on herself.

It’s sad watching those guys, really.

Depends on how attractive the single friend is.

yep. this is why I put 'men' in quotes. Usually they have nice-guy syndrome, low self esteem, or some other mental impediment to getting laid.

I know this from experience... not too proud to say I was once friend zoned. Thankfully I woke up.

But given the opportunity ( and the want), you would, right?

I guess the better question would be is it ok to have sex sex with your wife’s friends, or with your female friends who your wife doesn’t like.

One of the two wants more than friendship 99.999% of the time.

Yes absolutely. But it hast to be established LONG before you two meet.

My gf and I both have very close friends of the opposite sex.

My best girl friend is married to the Oregon State Streaker.

We both met our close friends in HS well before we ever met.

This. I think every a guy with any amount of test running through him will evaluate the potential possibilities of sex with any female he meets. If the close friend is a dog, it will probably work out as a friend only arrangement.

And it cuts both ways really.

From the male partner's perspective, the more attractive the single friend is, the greater the temptation.

From the female partner's perspective, the more attractive the single friend is, the greater the threat.

Probably depends on the person. Speaking for myself, NO. If the female is attractive, inevitably I will attempt to enter her.
