My wife (no pics) will be berthing twins in March. Any tips or tricks that need to be followed so I don't go batshit crazy in the first 6 weeks?

Twin dad here, having twins is awesome. Are these your first kids? Not knowing what having only one is like really helped a lot. Follow Moms on Call to a T, you have to or you’ll die. Buy diapers and formula at Sam’s, I recommend trying to breastfeed if you can, but know it’s a challenge with two kiddos. Go to consignment sales for baby clothes. Get the table for 2 feeding seat, holds both kids at once.

Edit: follow moms on call for sleep training, I meant. Sleep training is key. Our kids sleep awesome and have for a while because of it. Takes all of about 5 minutes putting them down and then they’re down for the night, have been for a year and a half now

Step number one is to figure out which one is the evil one.

Follow Moms on Call to a T

This is the great advice followed up with do not give your baby a warmed milk bottle. Straight out the fridge, every time. The moment they experience warmed milk, its over and when that child is screaming bloody murder in the middle of the night, that 10-15 minutes waiting to warm the milk seems like an eternity.

Similar to moms on call is simply a routine. The faster you can get the baby(ies) on a routine the better they sleep and more in control you will become.

Yeah we tried it as long as we could then supplemented formula, my wife was upset she couldn’t feed two naturally but not many women can

Did the math and found it was cheaper to have cloth diaper service the first three months. Once they stopped shitting and pissing 10 times a day, we went to disposable.

Mix them up as many times as you want, just make sure to do it an even number of times

That’s good news! The first couple of months are definitely the dark times, it’s tough. You will have to endure some rough nights but if you stick with moms on call it friggin works. As someone mentioned above, not warming bottles is good.

Hardest part is when they start walking. Bad enough with one, but now they can double team you. One of them holds up the gate so the other one can crawl under it.

Or they run in opposite directions when there's only one of you.

This is something we have heard personally also...Luckily my wife has 6 months of maternity leave with her work so we are hoping that will ease some of the stress and put them into daycare after that.
