In short, more rules that don’t apply to POC

Some customers have asked her to cut their locs — short for dreadlocks — because their bosses deemed them unacceptable. Others hadn’t worn their natural hair in so long they forgot what it looked like. That’s why Williams welcomes proposed state legislation that would make California the first state to protect black employees from discrimination based on hairstyles.

The CROWN Act, which passed the state Senate in April and could be voted on in the state Assembly as soon as Thursday, would outlaw policies that punish black employees and students for their hairstyles. Supporters say the bill’s acronym reflects its intention: creating a respectful and open workplace for natural hair.

Good. Black people need to stop appropriating my culture by stealing my nice, straight hair.

So businesses can't require their employees to look presentable?
Whats next? People can wear whatever they want to work?
California is something else

So they shouldnt be able to punish White or any other race of employees for having long hair or dreadlocks, etc...
I would think making this law only for black people is against the law.

It’s going to be hilarious when they’re all forced to wear netting and the like to deal with that.
I also imagine it’ll get a legal challenge from industries who require shorter hair for safety purposes.

Rules will eventually only apply to white folks because any rules again POC are racist in nature

A rule prohibiting natural hair that is specific to black people is racist.
I don't get the dreadlocks part because that isn't natural, but the rest is fine.
