Probably because you suck as an actor and hit the jackpot getting cast as the ‘token black kid’ on a hit show.

His character sucks.
So does his ginger GF’s character.

Sounds like they taught him how to take advantage of the current situation.

He was literally chosen for that role to be the black kid in the crew. If it weren’t for his race he wouldn’t have been casted in the first place.

besides Millie Bobby Brown and Steve he’s probably the most popular person on the show. His parents are FOS.
I would have guessed that Dustin and Max are more popular but...

you probably know best, so whatever. Also, no need to be humble, you're totally more popular than him.

He has less followers than Will, whose character sucks. There is something to this. Im guessing the show doesn't have a large black audience. Will probably has a lot of lgbtq followers

The show runners also didnt do much with Caleb's storyline in season or 3. Season 4 was slightly better.

Really this is a non-story though. Everyone else on the show could make the same complaint about being second fiddle to Millie. They are all relatively close in followers besides her.

Something to this? No there’s really not

Him saying he has beautiful chocolate skin is probably the most racist thing in this story. Imagine if a white actor was going around saying he had beautiful white skin. Instant cancel.

I’m the least woke person in the world but there’s actually truth to what he’s saying. It’s just not as nefarious as he’d like it to be.

It’s natural. White people are going to relate more to white people and black people to black people. The show has a massive predominantly white audience so there you go.

Person/kid: "I don't want to talk to you as an actor literally only because I don't like your character."
Insecure, lying actor: "Wow, I can't believe you don't want to talk to me because I'm black."
Fan: "...well now I don't wanna talk to you because YOU are an a-hole."

White audiences have loved and supported hundreds of black characters through the years. This is a non story about an entitled, zoomer bitch.

so, they told him this or he's just assuming

“Some people told me, ‘I didn’t wanna be in your line because you were mean to [Millie Bobby Brown‘s character] Eleven

mean characters aren't popular?

quote:

Even now, some people don’t follow me, don’t support me because I’m Black.”

again, are people telling him this is the reason they don't follow?

my parents had to be like, ‘It’s a sad truth, but it’s because you’re the Black child on the show.’”

and there it is

Well he brought up the social media aspect too which would mean everyone around the world that is a fan of the show. He’s basically calling everyone racist because his parents put the, it’s because your black, excuse in his head.

The guy you responded to didnt say white people cant enjoy and support black characters. He said they relate better with white characters. Do you have a problem admitting that?

I enjoyed family matters growing up but it was never gonna pass saved by the bell as my favorite show.
