Such a pointless metric.
I agree Nordschleife times make sense for super and hypercars but not much for sedans. Stability in the Fox Hole and under braking at the top of the hill don't translate well to a sedan ride. Shorter, tighter, flatter tracks like the Grand Tour track translate better to American backroad performance potential.
The M5, E63, GS-F, Panamera, CTS-V, RS 5 class is loaded. Each is a different flavor of good, it just depends on your particular desires. My choice in the class is the M5 for a number of reasons but everyone has their own metrics. Those that want a bulletproof car that gives up some performance may take the Lexus, those that like melting rear tires may take the E63 or CTS-V and it goes on.

Looks like a KIA Optima and a Toyota Camry made a baby.

Before kids I bought my wife a black STS. Lord that car was fun to drive.

Was going to say it reminds me of the Genesis in terms of the lines.

$90k for the high performance V-series version.
That’s approaching M5 territory. There’s zero comparison between an M5 and this caddy

How would you know? Did Cadillac even release information on the new V-series?

Because the M5 is the best performance sedan in its class

I can't imagine being from America and trying to dickride German engineering so hard. The shite he's spouting might have been true in the 70s, but now mosqt sportscars or luxury sedans are fricking exquisite. Pretty much take your pic these days. I've got an Infiniti and that bitch is SLICK BOI

German cars still hold most of the benchmark cars. There is a reason manufacturers like Chevrolet and Acura didn't build their halo sports cars without buying a 911. The divide is not as wide as it once was but there is still a well-deserved aura around German cars.

I have the CTS Coupe. I will never get rid of that car.

For that price I'll take a Lexus and it will still be on the road when the caddy is recycled and made into another car

We don't know yet but my guess is they dump the LT4 for the 4.2-liter twin-turbo Blackwing V8 that is in the CT6-V.

Rumor is that the 3.0L twin turbo cranks out about 400 horsepower while the black wing “hot v” engine would be at or around 600 horsepower in this application (CT5).
Seems adequate for my needs.

Looks like a black pastor drives it.

Anyone know the real sticker for these cars?
It's not 45k. That's like a barebones vehicle you order.
I am guessing these will run ~50k sticker for the lowest trim. Which isnt bad.
