High performance parts wear, that’s what they do. Give me a car I have to have maintain over one with excessive body roll, mushy brakes, vague steering, and a shitty interior.

meh
Really doesn't like much different then an accord sport.
Plus it's a caddy. No thanks.

Looks good from the front doors forward. Rear and back looks goofy.
Such a pointless metric. I know it’s the “it” thing to do in the automotive world as the ring has become the performance bench mark...just think it’s funny when companies emphasis “designed on the ring” for sedans. No body is going to track a CTS unless it’s 1/4 mile.

Cadillac’s performance sedans have been designed on the Nürburgring for several generations now.

It looks a lot like my Lexus GS F-Sport.
Lexus has been rumored to cancel that model. Their first and second best selling model are the RX350 (Toyota Highlander) and NX300 (Rav4). People don't care about performance anymore.
Cadillac did a great job with the CT5, and their performance sedans are excellent. I would certainly buy a Cadillac V series, Lexus F Sport, or BMW M5. That's just not where the market is going though.

It's nothing like the Accord.
For starters, the dash to axle ratio on cars like the Cadillac CT5, Jaguar XJ, Infiniti Q50, and BMW 5 series can't be matched by any front drive car. You can't make a front drive family sled like a Taurus or Accord look like a rear drive performance sedan. Mazda does a decent job, but there are limitations with what can be done with that type of chassis.
Lincoln, Buick, and Acura don't focus very much on performance. Their cars are based on front drive platforms that can't handle very much power without negatively impacting handling. They also look the part with massive front overhangs and "economy car" proportions. They aren't bad vehicles by any stretch, but they aren't performance products. There's a lot more headroom for Cadillac, Lexus, and Mercedes to offer these performance cars since their pricing tends to be much higher.
Cadillac, Mercedes, and BMW have invested in rear drive architecture for their sedans for more balanced handling and the ability to put down extreme amounts of power without impacting the handling. An added benefit is the good proportions and a reasonable dash to axle ratio. All of those brands have performance models that can't be matched by any front drive competitor.

GS is more than likely going away but they are putting more resources and emphasis on the F series lineup including F-Sport models.
The rumored IS-F will use the LS TTV6 motor.

Good to hear! I love everything about the new Lexus LS except the front end styling.
I'd like to see the IS updated soon. I've always liked them, especially the first gen with the I-6 motor.

Really interested to see what the LC-F looks like.
Will go against the 8 series.

German cars are for people who actually like to drive and can afford the superior experience. Posers are quickly filtered-out by repair costs. Ballers who like to drive superior cars can afford the repairs.
There’s German luxury, and then there’s everything else.

the end of the day it’s still a GM product that will ultimately fall short of the German competition.
I don’t know my mom has a BMW and my gf has a new Cadillac and I much prefer the caddy.
Cadillac and Buick always have been the best GM products

saw so many Caddies in Detroit and Chicago and I've only seen 2 in Portland in like 8 months. I never realized until now how vastly different geographic regions are with cars.
That’s because Portland is full of anti American commies

Probably will be my next ride. I’ll wait two years and let’s someone else take the depreciation hit.
