Cadillac unveils the new CT5 sports sedan

The CT5 has been well received, but a lot of industry watchers believe that they should be more focused on crossover SUVs than on performance cars and sedans.
This is Cadillac’s rear drive sport sedan similar to the Mercedes E300, BMW 5 series, and Lexus GS. It is essentially the next generation CTS sedan.
Prices are expected to be $45,000 and up...approaching $90k for the high performance V-series version.
I think they did a fantastic job with the styling. I like the new horizontal headlights and grill that is similar to the Escala concept.

Meh, at the end of the day it’s still a GM product that will ultimately fall short of the German competition.

I like the new styling language. I would take a V-Sport version with the twin turbo engine.

Cadillac’s performance sedans have been designed on the Nürburgring for several generations now.
Their V-series models are absolute monsters.

Not a bad looking car. WNBI though.

Looks like they bred an Nissan with a Cadillac

I think a lot of manufacturers are trying to give crossover features to their sedans.
Even though the UX is considered a crossover, this is Lexus trying to do that (they kinda failed with the CT).

GM makes some nice looking vehicles, but I would probably never buy one.

Hopefully they changed the awful dash and that dumb V shape on all the buttons.
I saw so many Caddies in Detroit and Chicago and I've only seen 2 in Portland in like 8 months. I never realized until now how vastly different geographic regions are with cars.

It looks a lot like my Lexus GS F-Sport. I like the designs of recent Caddies (especially prefer this grille to the black Lexus one) but will likely never leave Lexus

I drove several caddies when looking for my last car. I found the doors weirdly high. You feel like you are in an APC, but you can’t see anything.

America has closed the gap when it comes to how well engineered our cars are compared to other nations. The Mustang is Europe's best selling sports car. That says a lot. People there are realizing the only reason to spend 20k more on a BMW or Mercedes is for the brand name.

Im not generally a Caddy fan, but thumbs up for me.

The best car i've ever owned. Hoping for the IS-F in 2021 if not, RC-F for me next.

Y’all are ate up with BS. German cars are superior to US or Japanese cars and it’s not even a question. Good for y’all though, I wish I didn’t HAVE to have one.
