Relative to any other vaccine that is currently being injected into the general population, it's so new you had hardly if hadn't at all even heard of any of the others at this point in its life.

For all that truly think the vaccine won’t change lockdowns even if the majority of people take them, I have one serious question:

What the frick are y’all waiting on? What action are you planning? Because if I was mentally actually at that level, I would be doing something

Your first statement is in response to "So you don't think that the old, weak, and liberals 'probably' won't get the vaccine"

No, you colossal moron.

I literally replied "probably not" to your question of "Am I wrong?"

I literally was saying that you were probably NOT wrong.

Please learn to read better.

Your second statement is about your theory that conservatives don't support the vaccine because liberals support it. This has nothing to do with your thoughts on the demographics that will take the vaccine which you clearly and repeatedly said that you don't think the old, weak, and liberals will take it. You were given multiple opportunities to correct the statement but you doubled down. Who's denying reality and making it political now? You just had to focus on the "liberals" but said nothing about me mentioning the old a weak getting the vaccine. Looks you are the one going out of your way to make things political.

You are a legit retard.

do you want to compare the number of infections/deaths to SARS and MERS?

No because I know what they are - but the world and governments seemed a lot more keen to contain those viruses before they spread rapidly unlike this time.

I actually really do believe they aren't just going to roll it all back. Did everything get rolled back after 9/11?

but that isn't what they are talking about when they say the government won't give up power

I think some things, like masks on international flights, will probably be a thing forever now

but we are talking about restrictions on businesses

So you arent going to do anything about restaurants being forced to bare bones? Bars being completely gutted? Actually, if this is permanent there will be no restaurants and bars going forward

Well, why didn't you just say that from the get go? I thought you were responding to my initial statement, not the rhetorical question.

Some of us have to try to fit in reading and posting on TD between emails and work. That one is on me.

I don't really eat out enough or go to bars enough to get that worked up over that, it sucks for the employees though. Honestly, I am too comfortable in my life with 2 little boys to do anything myself about something that doesn't really affect me personally. I guess when something encroaches on my right to go turkey hunting is when I would really start forming my militia... or maybe if I lost my job

I have two kids

I couldnt imagine them growing up in a country with no restaurants, no theme parks open and free, no sports stadiums, etc etc

Thats the main reason if this is truly permanent it will be time to take action

I'll tell you why I won't be taking the vaccine.

1. I've already had the virus.
2. I'm at virtually 0 risk to the virus as evidenced by me having congestion and the sniffles for a few days.
3. By the time it is my time to take the vaccine we will have already been at herd immunity, and infection rates will be virtually 0.

I can't imagine what it would be like to be in a restaurant now, restrictions or not, with a 3.5 and 1.5 year old boy The theme parks and sporting events are things I actually am feeling now

Look, I hope you are 100% right. I just have zero faith in government getting this right, and that would be the same no matter left or right in power. I'm probably too cynical about it, but that's really how I feel

Same here, and to be perfectly frank I won't take the vaccine until likely closer to the summer or if I have to fly internationally.

Of course, we all know that the Chinese are hard at working tweaking Covid-19 to make this vaccine obsolete.

So there's that.

Really believe what? That the mandates in place will still persist after the vaccine has been administered? Fauci has already said that's what needs to be done.

We have tolerated their bait-and-switch proclamations and goalpost moving since March. I'm sure you can understand our scepticism.

Fauci says lots of things. He also said if enough people got the vaccine then we would see full NFL stadiums next year. Fauci can frick off.

I've never once heard the OT talk about how dumb it is to get the flu vaccine based on survival rates. What gives?
