Now we know where the "stuff" for McD chicken nuggets comes from.

To be fair, the grinder is a humane, if messy, way to go about it.

It's basically a smaller version of this that spins WAY faster.

They're turned into goo almost instantly and then are processed into useful products. Male chicks are currently an unavoidable byproduct of food production that are dispatched and reused in the quickest, most painless way possible.

Nah, man, that definitely ain't me. I used to live near chicken killing plants when I was still stuckinMS and the smell, even at a distance, is fricking horrific. I can't imagine being inside one of those places.

Seriously, it's up there with pogey fish plants.

How do you think they add the protein to the corn for the feed?

This was the basis for one of the best jokes on American Dad, years ago.

Ah yes, culled...

I guess a lot of people really do think meat and other animal products magically appear on grocery store shelves.

I just never really thought about what happened to males.

I know they all die one way or the other, but it never occurred to me the males would be shred the day they're born. Sounds like they may get far more efficient at it.

Last week, the DNC, which represents almost all of the idiots in the United States, announced that it is committing over the next four years to new technology that will keep people from having to be killed—by preventing them from ever being born.

With just a few word tweaks this sounds like it comes right from the 2020 democratic primary.

The ground up chicks are used for feed to animals. This same thing happens with beef cattle on smaller farms. The bulls are cut up/chopped up for sale and the cows are kept to continue to calf.
