Those you see stacked are usually being returned to vendor for deposit or 3rd party pallet company.
They are a combination of ours, and the neighbors who tell us to take them. They install and setup corporate offices

Word. Just as a precaution make sure you kids, little brothers, etc know that those are not just automatically free to take.

I'm getting radio silence. Did he text you back?
This guy is gonna get a shitty yelp review for customer service if I don't get a reply soon, and he might even miss out on this sale.

There is a difference in the regulation requirements between pallets that are used for Domestic usage, and those that are shipped Internationally. The price he paid for that "heat treated" pallet is in line for what you would have to pay for a new one.

nope. I think he is too busy on his calculator counting his money before he ever gets it
Posted on 8/11/15 at 8:56 am to Crusty
Average cost is about $8-10 new

Just asked if they're American pallets or Chinese.
ask him if the nails are polished nickel coated or hot-dipped galvanized.

Maybe I am confused here...but are you suggesting that a heat treated pallet (used to ship internationally) will run you in the neighborhood of $100/pallet?

I got a response too! He said it was fine if I wanted to come by and hand pick the best 3 pallets that he has

I really wish I could take a screenshot on this fricking phone (if this actually does get funny, I'll post some after work). Here's my response.

Do you have any more pictures or perhaps a spec sheet? My coworkers and I will be using these for a very specific purpose and we'll need some additional information. The nails, are they polished nickel coated or hot-dipped galvanized?

That guy got robbed. We put ours up on Craigslist for free. If anyone in Nashville ever wants some large glass crates, come on by. It's easier for us to have people haul them away than pay one of our guys to break them down.

He thinks they're hot dip galvanized. My response:

Excellent! We'll probably take as many as can fit in a 2007 corolla. Do you have a rough estimate how many that might be? We'd like to have the appropriate funds at the time of purchase. Also, are all of the pallets in that good of shape?

He just said he's only got three. I guess it's first come first serve?

You can get a Pallet of Sod for that I would imagine.

Ask him if they're safe to burn in a Bonfire that you're building.

Ask him how many kilos of powder they can withstand.

We give them away for free at my work. Just sit them on the curb for anyone to pick up. What an idiot.
