SO watched and got all upset thinking about her own deceased father. I don't watch these sorts of public memorials.

Kinda cool they are using a train.

The locomotive is number 4141. Union Pacific commissioned it in 2005 at Bush's presidential library in Bush's honor. The locomotive has Bush's name painted on the side with the presidential seal and is painted in Air Force One's livery. It's been a working locomotive since then and has returned to Texas to carry the president the last few miles to his grave. Here's a picture of it hauling freight.

I'd bet that long ago Bush and his people worked with UP on this as a plan to bring back the old tradition of a presidential funeral train. It allows more people to be part of the procession by lining the tracks along the way and it just seems more dignified somehow. It also wouldn't surprise me if UP decommissions the locomotive and it ends up on permanent display at the library.

I bet the crew running that train are the highest seniority guys in the seniority district for the UP. Although with how dysfunctional BNSF is and UP might be worst I wouldnt be shocked if they have extra board guys running it.

W is the Les Miles of politics.

Times of utter brilliance sandwiched between sheer incompetence. And at the end of the day you can tell he really does love America.

Its healthy to see everyone get along, hopefully trump figures this out

Unfortunately, no president figures this out until a month or two before they leave office. If we had just a couple of months of on the job training for incoming presidents with outgoing presidents it would probably make a world of difference. If Clintons and Bushs and Obamas can get along after leaving office the Hatfields and McCoys could with just a little bit of understanding about the other side’s positions and how to work things out.

I caught all the important parts yesterday and today. I saw W’s eulogy and as far as a son’s eulogy for his father goes, president or a regular joe, it was a fantastic one.

On the surface.

But look at his enemies. Thats enough to tell you who he is FOR.

Look at his policies.

Look at his rhetoric.

I know you are a troll and your response was a troll response, but its unfortunate so many folks actually think like you do, and act upon it.

92 was the election I first remember

kindergarten class had a mock election, Bush won with all but like one kid voting Clinton.....clearly a private catholic school

We had the same kid in my class. I think every private school did.

I've since voted democrat a few times since (though usually repub), but that little fricker turned out to be quite the political insufferable bastard.

I'm assuming you consider yourself to be not a troll.

And yet, this post told me nothing.

Use your words.

I believe they’ve already mentioned it would. I’d imagine it along with the casket compartment would be a huge draw.
