I’m curious how many OT baws watched/listened to it? It hit me hard seeing 43 break down at the end of his eulogy. Regardless of your politics it’s hard not to get choked up when you hear of all the good one man was able to do. I pray that this will leave our country a little more united in all stations of life.

***Grew up in a Reagan household, ‘88 was the first election I remember, and especially after this week pray that I will see President [George] Prescott Bush being the sitting president eulogizing W.

Didn't realize until today that W and Michelle Obama are practically best friends.

I saw this picture earlier. I remember that speech on 9/14/01 like it was just the other day. It was very moving just like his eulogy.

Due to protocol, they have to sit next to each other at every formal event involving former presidents. Apparently W is quite the cut-up and has them laughing all the time.

They have this thing going with W giving Michelle cough drops at every formal event. He snuck one to her at his dad's funeral today.

They are close, they have regular exchanges at these big events like passing candy or making each other smile. Its healthy to see everyone get along, hopefully trump figures this out

Hence why I added my View after stars. Now if I was expounding on why GPB, that would be political.

His comment at the end about his dad actually makes a lot of people cringe sadly. Many people that didnt have a father tend to show their jealousy heavily there. This is what I thought of when I heard it.

I've had friends with no involved fathers that have told me that. Answered a lot questions on why people reacted in certain ways in conversations.

Yeah when a President dies, especially one who served in WW2 and served the public his whole life, politics should never come into it. It’s nice in today’s climate to see Americans come together for something.

RIP Mr President.

today was actually kind of a cool throw back reminder to the reverence we once had for the presidency. Stark contrast to last few cycles where the opposing party and media treats them as enemies of the state

He thanked him for being the best father anyone could hope for, and was overcome by his emotions, briefly. It was a very "human" moment just about everyone who has lost a father can certainly relate to.

I’ve been listening to it at work. It’s been hard to stay composed and not choke up, especially after listening to the eulogy, as he was a personal hero of mine. If I could be 1/10 of what he was, I’d be honored.
