I'm usually pretty open-minded to new dieting and nutrition plans. However, at the end of the day there needs to be a simple common sense test. Butter, oil, and coffee in the morning? No freakin thank you!

For those of yal that it works for, good on ya! That's just not something I'm willing to try, however.

Had to Google to see what it was.

Bulletproof Coffee Debunked

Common sense guys. Common sense.

If a guy creates something made with 3 easily attainable ingredients, yet charges an arm and a leg for his 'special version' of said ingredients, it's more than likely a cash grab and not legit.

Sure, but that also means you can easily make your own for much cheaper, and it works wonders if you're on a LCHF diet.

Have you never dipped toast with butter in your coffee? STALE FRENCH BREAD WITH BUTTER?

It's very good.

It did mine. I have never had cholesterol issues before. With work and school going non-stop my cardio has suffered. I do think this would work for most with time to run it off and eat right the rest of the day.

yea its very good for getting you into ketosis. and the brain octane oil he sells is an upgraded version of mct oil. regular mct is fine and so is coconut oil, but i prefer brain octane or the xct oil he sells because it is truely tasteless and I do notice a slight energy jolt compared to regular mct oil.

I also just order whole bean organic coffee from amazon. I do believe most brands sold in supermarkets, especially k-cups are full of molds and toxins, but I don't believe at all his coffee is the only one that is toxin free. So I shop on amazon for a decent cheap organic coffee.

Now I don't use it all of the time, in fact only when doing a fat fast. but it does help to get you into ketosis quickly.

for those saying use common sense and how could this be good.....overall calories are still the most important factor, but the ingredients in bullet proof coffee are great for you. And if you are going with a keto diet, it works wonders.

like was stated earlier, total cholesterol means jack shite. the only thing that matters is the hdl:ldl ratio.

Would never buy the actual thing, but I can make my own and it helps me hit my fat goals in a Ketogenic diet. Getting enough fat can be more of a chore than it sounds, day in and day out.

work and school non-stop = chronic stress = pro-inflammatory state = likely impact on your lipid panel...

How is your sleep quality in this setting? Non-existent?
Confounders abound....

That is not how it works....
I do not have time to rebut you more formally.

As 777 and others have pointed out, the context that this is used in matters...

I actually agree with this, that's why I use the Now foods MCT oil, coconut nectar to sweeten it, and I use my espresso machine to pull a couple shots and then froth the mixture.

What are your qualifications? I am not a doctor and there is nothing to rebut as I am not trying to prove a point. Just giving my own anecdotal experiences.

I'll just say that I tried the butter in coffee thing once. That is nasty. Especially if you are used to black coffee.

If you're looking to add fat to coffee why wouldn't you just use cream like a normal person?

i know a ton of people that drink bulletproof, and none of them use bulletproof products. In no way is it a cash grab, and if you looked Bulletproof and Dave Asprey a little more than that stupid article, you'd realize that.

Haven't tried this. Does it make you have to go #2 even more than regular coffee?
