Not saying that your interpretation of your credit score is inaccurate, but it is very difficult to get a score of 730+ without having any open accounts. Ideally, for a high credit score, FICO likes a home mortgage, a vehicle loan, and credit cards with high limits & low balances. It's essentially a numerical evaluation of your likelihood to repay borrowed money and make payments on time.
I'm at ~850 and I have no mortgage, no vehicle loan, nothing. I run my personal expenses through a credit card and pay it off every month. I haven't carried a balance or paid a penny of interest toward anything in nearly 15 years.

They depend upon people being lazy and not looking for better offers

Unfortunately, most auto lenders/captives do not view credit karma positively, and usually use Equifax or Experian. It is not uncommon to see credit scores 60-120pts lower.

2026 Nissan Altima, 0% down, got it for only 8,954 months at $10/month It’s an Altima so I’ll wreck it within 2 years and insurance will pay for everything.

Bought a Mazda and a genesis last month. 0% for 36 months through Mazda and 2% from genesis for 60 months. Louisiana federal credit union offered 5.9%.

So you out $25k down, and still have a $450 note…
Wow.
Wow.
Posted on 8/13/25 at 10:35 pm to bleedsgarnet
That’s why you don’t finance through Toyota.

Your shite is starting to get old.
You’re either dumb or poor.
Probably both if I had to guess.

Unfortunately, this is the way.

frick credit scores. I make 6 figures and have zero debt and my shite is dropping because I don’t have loans. It’s one of the biggest scams out there as far as financial institutions go

lol yea buddy, you got me figured out.
Just so r understand why you would put so much cash down, and still have a note.
Might as well buy used for a little more cash and be paid for.
To each his own though.
I’m sure you could buy 2 or 3 cash if you wanted Just out your checking account.

I did my research before. I started a thread on here and saw a lot of 5’s and 6’s and few guys in the 4’s. Once I saw 4% that was my goal
What’s funny is they told me mid 6’s when I asked interest rates
they were offering.
I told them I had sub 5 and they magically came back with 4.98.

Good advice I got from my mom was to never stop paying your car note and become your own financier. Instead of sending $600/mo over a 48 month period to the bank, save $300/month and never finance a car again.
Only time I financed a vehicle I was able to get a rate and discount by financing that actually made me money.

Because they like nice cars? I haven’t driven a car I bought for less than 23k since I was 20 years old in 2001.
25k down is probably from a trade and cash but I don’t know his situation.
I put a bunch of money down and my note is $899 a month for 60 months if you’re keeping tabs on me. Seems like he made a really good decision compared to mine.
