All it will have is I-20 traffic, the side road Tarbutton or whatnot is spare.

How was that new overpass not built for 2 lanes of traffic in each direction?

Thanks Louisiana DOTD

I know I am preaching to the choir, but remember one candidate for governor led this mess of an agency for 7 years.

Roads are still crap. Bridges are still on the drawing board, and no one has made the hard decisions to fix that agency.

Why build this? Fossil fuel is going away. Gonna be a lot of pumps there and no cars to fill.

Good for Louisiana! Who does Bucees think they are wanting to come into our state and spend millions of their dirty money?

This post is so Louisiana. It’s a good example of the attitude of it’s citizens and why it will be last in everything except football, food and Mardi Gras. Carry on.

This 100%. LOL Yeah right the DOTD now is involved…well of course they are …reeks of political gamesmanship from another parish or from somewhere in the legislature. This state just can’t have nice things.

I guess the checks haven't cleared yet - wait, I mean, there needs to be some more "impact" studies done.

Don't think Walker was ever a choice.

Millerville, yes (IMO, that would have been a cluster for traffic)

I read most of the stuff on here like ‘nah…. Can’t be that bad!’

Then here comes the prophetic news.

18 months for traffic studies and reports.

Do they use state employees fir this or is this contracted out?

Meanwhile I doubt the Beach Express location had any traffic studies done at all…

DOTD is not familiar with traffic in Ruston.
That’s NORTH Louisiana…

shite like this is exactly what the candidates for Governor need to address. A massive economic boost like Buccees should not be delayed because of bullshite red tape like this. 6 and 12 month studies before construction can even begin?! Does the state realize how ridiculous that is?

1) they do not care

2) and this is even worse, but other areas are jealous of it going to Ruston and are trying to ruin it.

Our politicians and government officials should be trying to find ways to move constructive UP 6 months, not back 6 months.

To be fair. The one at Menge on i10 in Miss. was announced like 2 years ago and I don’t see anything going on over there.
