I guess we differ on the definition of "oppress". I would say that forcing people into slavery is oppression. Not baking them a cake, not so much.

IOW, you're fine with the property of being a human being not amounting to "legal tender" for the purpose of spending one's actual legal tender, and you're fine with it being dictated person-by-person based on the individual's arbitrary set of beliefs. Yeah, that's gonna work.

Strange.

He had no problem playing concerts in the Middle East last month. A bastion of LGBT Rights.

Situational political correctness is a bitch I guess or is it that they couldn't sell tickets to the show.

should people be able to sue him so that he has to perform for them?

Yep. He shouldn't have the right to deny his fans their basic human rights of hearing him play.

Of course, I bet he has no problem with performing in Chicago where certain people are being denied their civil rights due to skin color (black men being tortured and killed by a corrupt police department).

I'll bet if he weren't already somewhat comfortable (fiscally) he'd have gone through with the date.

Maybe Rex can book him for his DeathTour '16.

So gays can't be denied rights, but private business owners can by not being able to refuse service because of beliefs?

Something doesn't seem fair.

Gay people, I have always disagreed just because I don't find it natural, but have always said live and let live. You people are making it difficult not to loathe you and your bull.

Well add Bryan Adams to the list along with Bruce Springsteen that can go take a flying leap off a building and go F*** themselves with a 10 ft pole.

This all reminds of the "ain't gonna play sun city" song and video when artists boycotted South Africa over apartheid.

Someone should write a similar pop song and make bank off this situation.
