As much as I want to say you're an idiot, you're exactly right. It's a pathetic world we live in.

The best and worst thing about New Orleans is that people generally don't give a shite.

I disagree with this statement. I genuinely believe that most Orleans Parish residents do give a shite but once they realize that the politicians have no incentive to help fix the problem and the bureaucracy doesn't want to contribute to fixing the problem that the excitement about helping change the system quickly develops into apathy and disengagement because they realize they are unable to change any of it.

Its not just the local politicians but its the state legislators like John Alario who help keep the kangaroo environment in place as he has no incentive in allowing Orleans to get better so he sides with Landrieu to keep the status quo in check.

If you're in Nola, you're going to be going to bars. Most CC permit holders follow the law and don't bring their weapons into bars. These animals know this and its open season.
man these animals aren't thinking about if the target is carrying or not. I'd say that if they are thinking about the person holding or not, they would figure they are, considering the vast majority of the victims of the violent crimes are other blacks in the hood where a metric shite ton of people are carrying, legally and illegally.

There should be two policemen patrolling each block length on every side street in the FQ. That's in addition to the ones already on Bourbon.

Maybe it's just that much easier for a conviction, but I will tell almost every shooting turns into Aggravated assault.

That's right next to the aquarium. Little kids are in that area around that time.

I'm done with New Orleans.

Jesus Christ. Without doing the mayh, that would put about 200 officers on the street in one neighborhood or about 20% of the force

Would be much easier if the AA community would police themselves and denounce this behavior publicly as a WHOLE...but that's not going to happen b/c everyone is scared of deviating from the hive mind & being called a "traitor to their race", even though we're the human race

I'm not just referring to crime, I'm referring to the vibe of the whole city. People just don't give a shite about anything in general. It's a blessing and a curse.

the police need to start dressing like tourists. carrying hand grenades, wearing THING 2 t-shirts, acting drunk and then hope to get attacked etc

This is silly. Just post more uniformed patrol in the area. Pull out of the disaster zones and let them kill each other. That's what Chicago has done and the touristy parts of the city don't experience this type of crime.

Apathy isn't an excuse, the people paying taxes inside the city need to demand change from the politicians. Unfortunately, most of the responsible citizens are busy working/taking care of their family.
For anything to truly change, these folks need to show up on a weekday afternoon outside City Hall and make their voices heard. There is nothing scarier for a politician than to have the people paying the bills visibly and vocally upset.
Too many people living in the city are hypocrites and they are upset about the crime, but do nothing themselves to solve the problem.

they do.... a there are crime walks and neighborhood meetings addressing crime and everything else every single week. Sorry you don't hear about it. Maybe you should look into it and participate as a community.

The crime is a community wide problem. It affects us all.

Saying Blacks need to do xyz and our group is just waiting on their group or whatever is just ignorant.

That's like blacks saying that whites (you) need to get out and scream from your rooftop and denounce Antifa and start policing your own white community if you want anyone else to care.

Wife and I usually travel there multiple times a year for a weekend trip. After seeing that video, I cannot imagine going back. Cannot imagine her getting choked out and me getting hit with brass knuckles for our wallets and cellphones. Especially, since if they came up and just asked we would give them to them if it meant not getting beat down or killed.

Not an e-badass, I don't want to die for a wallet and cellphone.
