St george is never gonna happen. If it does, by the time this is over it’s going to be a tiny fraction of what it was originally gonna be. life is going to suck worse for those people, they’ll be dying to either get back into BR city or to move out with the rest of the white flight.

One, isn’t moving to Denham just more “white flight”?

So move. StG had a legal and validated petition to bring it to a vote, then it passed a legal and validated election. Even if some stupid judge in BR overturns the result of a legal election, the appeal will be in favor of the people.

If anything, this helps the parish by raising property values, which results in higher property tax and slows the the flight to AP, LP, etc. StG isn't leaving the parish so parish taxes won't change. The only "taxes" that change will be the $48M the mayor siphons from non-city residents to put in the city's general fund to pay for her pet projects.

He's a democrat who is afraid to admit it because he thinks it strengthens his position to be labeled as a Republican. He's fundamentally misinformed on the most basic aspects of these topics (like saying St. George was in BR) yet has strong opinions because he's loyal to his team.
