Let's be honest, her vocal range is pathetic. It's a squeaky little voice that cannot go very low or high, and she made her mark instead just dancing in front of the camera.
I know women who "tried to make it" with the same vocal range, pathetic, and if you say to them that you have huge respect for Adele's awesome voice, they get downright nasty saying they hate Adele. Yeah, they hate her because Adele (just an example) puts them all to shame.
ETA: imagine a squeaky voice fake hating this voice
ETA again: I can't stand the Celine Dion types, diva what the hell ever, even though Celine has a great voice.
Adele on the flipside is just Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa slamming fricking home runs into the Miss River and Lake Michigan. There's no diva shite, just a generational talent, and yet little fakes who pattern themselves after Britney are jealous and hate her.
